We are looking for a smart, experienced, and motivated Paid Search Manager to join our Sacramento team.

The Paid Search Manager will focus on three primary areas; (1) accountable for the day-to-day management of client paid search initiatives, (2) overseeing junior members of the team, and (3) focusing on the strategic development of dedicated accounts.

You will have all the star qualities of a Senior Associate but work more autonomously – reporting directly to the VP of Media. You are expected to function at a highly efficient level utilizing advanced execution skills and maintaining relationships with internal teams and clients.

What You’ll Do:

Campaign Planning

  • Lead the day-to-day supervision of client paid search programs including strategic approaches, bid recommendations, execution details, budgets/accounting, and overall goal achievement.
    Participate in the analysis of campaigns and historical data to inform future planning.
    Build budget recommendations and presentations.
    Understand the client’s product, marketing objectives, and digital goals with an emphasis on paid search, presenting to clients on regular basis.
    This is a management role, so you’ll perform as a leader with minimal supervision.

Campaign Execution

  • Monitor, track, and evaluate campaign performance analytics, based on client KPI targets and baselines.
    Think creatively, do research, and develop tools and innovative tactics to improve efficiencies or advance the practice. Present practical ideas for future marketing expansion or optimization.
    Build an understanding of platform creative and executional media best practices.
    Gather performance data to be used in campaign reporting documents.
    Generate reports from external and internal data sources.
    Stay on top of the latest updates regarding tools and User Interfaces (AdWords, Bing, Bid Management Platforms, eMarketer, SEMrush, Search Engine Land, AdCenter, etc.).

Communication

  • Actively contribute to corporate initiatives, automation projects, process changes, and rollouts.
    Build, or assist in crafting, POVs, standard methodologies, and key process documentation.
    Be comfortable providing thoughtful input and feedback in internal meetings.

Collaboration

  • Participate in crafting campaign strategies and implementation, working closely with other internal departments to develop fully-integrated search campaigns.
    Develop and foster positive relationships with the search community, and Directors for optimal service levels and results.

What You’ll Bring:

  • BA/BS degree in marketing, communications, or a related field preferred
    Have a minimum of 3 years of paid search management experience
    Have essential experience in Analytics Tools (Google Analytics, Looker/Tableau/Domo etc.), search engine desktop tools (Google/Bing editors)
    Experience meeting with clients
    A wide variety of paid search experience (Awareness, Lead Gen, eCommerce)
    Ability and ambition to lead and mentor junior members of a team
    Enjoy working in a dynamic, collaborative and fast paced environment
    Proficient in deriving insights from data
